Own Art News

Vastari is the first online platform designed for collectors and curators to discuss exhibition loans.
Museums are currently on the lookout for privately owned art works to include in their shows. At the same time you might be a collector interested in the idea of lending works but aren't necessarily aware of opportunities that exist, or how to develop relationships with public institutions.
Vastari is designed to give collectors targeted exposure to cultural institutions and to give curators access to a wider range of works from the private sector that are available for loan.
Most collectors will realise the enhanced notoriety, public exhibitions can bring, especially when it comes to contemporary work by emerging artists. Vastari provides these collectors with a tool to develop a mutually beneficial relationship with public institutions and raise the profile of their collection in the long term.
The system allows collectors to upload the art they own in complete anonymity. Verified museum professionals registered on the platform, will then be able to search through the uploaded artworks. Additionally collectors can actively reach out to curators, contacting them directly and sending relevant works for their consideration.
Since its launch in January 2013, Vastari has registered hundreds of collectors from Europe, America and emerging markets such as Brazil, China and the Middle East. Additionally the platform counts over 150 museums including 5 of the top 10 worldwide.
