Charities & NPOs: This AMLD5 Session is for you!

Because you are a part of Own Art’s diverse network of member galleries (also known as ‘art market participants’) you’ll have noticed that we have been going on and on about the new anti-money laundering regulations in lieu of the upcoming 10 June 2021 deadline to ensure you’re as confident as possible with these changes.

Own Art supports a large number of charities and NPOs, which you can browse here, so we want to highlight Creative United‘s last AMLD5 and the Art Market session, which is important to your business: Fundraising and Donations.

What will you learn?

This session will provide an overview on how charitable organisations that engage in fundraising activities – such as fundraising auctions and art sales – may be caught under the anti-money laundering regulations as Art Market Participants (AMPs).

Attendees will receive advice on deciphering who is classified as the customer in these situations and how you verify them as part of customer due diligence processes. It will also be of value to organisations in understanding the money-laundering risks associated with donated funds.

The session will include practical real-life examples, followed by a Q&A session.

When is the session?

This free session takes place on Tuesday 18 May 2021, 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Further resources will be made available to you following the session via Creative United’s LearnWorlds platform.
