Oriel Glasfryn Gallery

Welcome to Oriel Glasfryn Gallery, the only independent art gallery in North East Wales.

Situated just off the A55 in the historic town of Caerwys, we showcase the finest original Welsh art and craft including paintings, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, glass, textiles, wood and metalwork.

The owner of Oriel Glasfryn Gallery, Dave Roberts PS, specializes in pastel landscape paintings of North Wales and an extensive selection of his original paintings are on permanent display here.

Oriel Glasfryn Gallery is owned by Dave and Lise Roberts. Together it was their life-long dream to run a gallery that showcases the best contemporary artists and makers from across Wales. So, in 2019 they bought Glasfryn Hall, a fine country house that they are now lucky enough to call home, and they turned their dream into reality. Oriel Glasfryn Gallery opened in Easter 2022.

Our Main Gallery is a modern, purpose-built, space that is open all year which houses a permanent display of ceramics, glass, jewellery, wood and metalwork as well as landscape paintings by gallery owner Dave Roberts. The gallery sits within the grounds of Glasfryn Hall, a fabulous Victorian country house which we open the three times a year for our spring, summer and winter exhibitions.

Croeso i Oriel Glasfryn, yr unig oriel gelf annibynnol yng Ngogledd Ddwyrain Cymru. Wedi'i lleoli oddi ar yr A55 yn nhref hanesyddol Caerwys, rydym yn arddangos celf a chrefft wreiddiol orau Cymru, gan gynnwys paentiadau, gemwaith, cerameg, cerfluniau, gwydr, tecstilau, pren a gwaith metel.

Mae perchennog Oriel Glasfryn, Dave Roberts PS, yn arbenigo mewn paentiadau tirlun pastel o Ogledd Cymru ac mae detholiad helaeth o'i baentiadau gwreiddiol yn cael eu harddangos yn barhaol yma.

Mae Oriel Glasfryn yn eiddo i Dave a Lise Roberts. Gyda'i gilydd roedd yn freuddwyd gydol oes ganddynt i redeg oriel sy'n arddangos yr artistiaid a'r gwneuthurwyr cyfoes gorau o bob cwr o Gymru. Felly, yn 2019, fe wnaethon nhw brynu Neuadd Glasfryn, tŷ gwledig gwych y maent bellach yn ddigon ffodus i'w alw'n gartref, ac fe wnaethant droi eu breuddwyd yn realiti. Agorodd Oriel Glasfryn Gallery yn Pasg 2022.

Mae ein Prif Oriel yn ofod modern, pwrpasol sydd ar agor drwy'r flwyddyn ac sy'n gartref i arddangosfa barhaol o serameg, gwydr, gemwaith, pren a gwaith metel yn ogystal â phaentiadau tirwedd gan berchennog yr oriel Dave Roberts. Mae'r oriel yn eistedd ar dir Neuadd Glasfryn, tŷ gwledig Fictoraidd gwych yr ydym yn ei agor dair gwaith y flwyddyn ar gyfer ein harddangosfeydd yn y gwanwyn, yr haf a'r gaeaf.
