Figurative oil paintings from Jane Pine
In 1919, figurative artist Jane Pine’s grandfather, Frederick Daw, survived a plane crash in Rome. He had the where-with-all to rescue an injured fellow passenger from the tail of plane, freeing him from the parachute that entangled him, and carrying him to safety. That rescued man was none other than T. E Lawrence, and the two men became friends throughout their lives.
