A Summer Exhibition in Bournville

A Summer Exhibition of Paintings, Ceramics, Sculpture, Jewellery and Craft by established Purple Gallery artists.  Introducing the paintings of new artists to the gallery – Amanda Horvath and Sharon Winter.  Amanda Horvath studied Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University where she obtained a BA degree (First Class Honours). Now working as a full-time professional artist Amanda concentrates on the discipline of painting from her studio in the hills of Derbyshire inspired by the landscape around her.

Sharon Winter Artist, illustrator and teacher, Sharon Winter graduated from University College Scarborough with a First Class Honours in Fine Art in 2001. She usually paints with acrylics and likes to experiment with new techniques including printing, collage and book-making.  Sharon paints from her imagination and loves to explore ideas from her sketchbooks.   She works by building up layers of paint, collage and gold leaf to create patterns, motifs and texture and her inspiration often comes from folklore, memory and family.
