International Women’s Day: Own Art selects work by emerging female artists

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have selected some of our favourite work by emerging female artists.

In the art world, artists are often divided into three categories – emerging, mid-career and established. When we talk about emerging artists, we mean someone at the beginning of their artistic journey who is yet to create a large body of work, or whose career may be on the rise.

Of course, gender is not a genre, but we want to champion the work of female artists and share our discoveries with you.

We hope you feel inspired by our selection!
