Jaejun Lee presents a quietly powerful body of porcelain works at The Scottish Gallery
For his first solo exhibition at The Scottish Gallery, The Angel’s Share, Jaejun Lee presents a quietly powerful body of porcelain works shaped by devotion, precision, and contemplation. A Korean ceramicist based in the UK since 2018, Lee reinterprets traditional moon jar forms through a contemporary lens, exploring identity, time, and the poetry of function.
Each vessel is meticulously wheel-thrown and polished over countless hours, reflecting not only light but the accumulated care of the artist’s hand – objects of stillness intended to enrich everyday life with beauty and tranquillity.
