About this Event

We invite you to join us for the private view of our two new exhibitions and the hanging of our core collection throughout the House of St Barnabas.

Adam Dant will be exhibiting his prints which explore the idiosyncrasies of the city through humorous and insightful cartography alongside the new curation of the houses most loved donated and loaned collection. Dant’s work is held in the Tate Britain collection, the Victoria and Albert Museum, New York’s Museum of Modern Art, as well has having exhibited at the Tate Modern, the Hayward Gallery and the Institute of Contemporary Art. Dant has previously won the Jerwood Drawing Prize and was chosen as the official Election Artist for the 2015 general election.

Alexandra Gallagher’s work celebrates the surreal and bizarre, through her rich multidisciplinary work that channels the fantastical and sublime. Her work has been exhibited internationally and previously selected for the Saatchi Gallery Surreal Showdown and the London Contemporary Art Prize.

The House of St Barnabas is a charity, supporting homeless people into work. The private view is free, but any donation you can make will really help us in our work. A donation of £8 will pay for a haircut for one of our participants before a job interview, whilst £15 would cover a personalised IT training session, helping participants write a CV and search online for a job.

Thank you for your support.
